About the Artist

Mike - 2014

“My art is inspired by the play of light and shadows, the time of day, fog, mist, the fruits and vegetables in season.  Each art work portrays a sense of peace and calm, grounded in the experience of the passing moment.”

Mike Menius paints in oil and also “paints” works on paper, using colored pencils.  He lives in California wine country, north of San Francisco.

Mike’s award winning art has been featured in art magazines, exhibits, competitions, etc.  He is a signature member of the Colored Pencil Society of America.  He received his formal art training at the Corcoran School of Art, Washington, DC.
